K West Hotel creates ‘department of calm’ to tempt stressed guests

K West Hotel in London has introduced a new de-stress package within its spa, welcoming expert Dr. Glenis Wade and her ‘department of calm’.

The specialist department and range of treatments at the hotel’s spa are designed to help guests cope with work stress in a manageable way, with each package inspired by Wade’s 30 years of work in the spa industry.

The treatments blend one-to-one coaching with spa activities, in turn creating a personalised resilience program for stress.

Having now been phase-tested across spas and salons in London, the packages are based on business research, Wade’s counselling skills and vast industry experience.

On settling down at the award-winning K Spa, Wade said: “I’m really excited to meet a set of like-minded team members at K West Hotel & Spa who, like me, see the importance of supporting guests and local residents in coping with the chaos of organisational change, business problems and difficult management styles. That is why I created the Department of Calm suite of advanced spa treatment packages, workshops and classes.”

Awarded the top rating of ‘5 Bubbles’ in the 2016 Good Spa Guide and crowned ‘Best Spa’ in the World Luxury Spa Awards 2016, K West’s holistic spa has become one to watch in the industry.

K Spa introduced the first ‘Snow Paradise’ to London, which mimics the Finnish experience of alternating between freezing and steamy environments.

The ‘Sun Meadow’ offers specialist light therapy to treat SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), while the spa also features a hydrotherapy pool, sanarium, sauna, dry flotation tank, aromatic herbal steam room and the K Fit gymnasium.
