Kimpton Charlotte Square announces new general manager

Kimpton Charlotte Square has appointed of Kieran Quinn as general manager.

Quinn will oversee the 199-bedoom property located in Edinburgh and brings over 20 years of experience in hospitality management to the team.

He joins from his most recent position as general manager for Crowne Plaza Edinburgh Royal Terrace where he was ‘instrumental’ in completing the hotel’s renovation, increasing average rate and achieving record revenues for the hotel.

Quinn also boasts experience at the likes of Westin Dublin, Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa Edinburgh and Sheraton Grand London Park Lane.

He will be supported by the also newly appointed hotel manager Gordon Shaw. 

Quinn will be spearheading a large number of exciting upcoming plans for Kimpton Charlotte Square for 2020.

Commenting on his new position, Quinn said: “The Kimpton Charlotte Square team are an incredibly talented and dedicated team who I’m really looking forward to continue to work alongside. We have some ambitious plans for 2020 and we will continue to ensure that every guest experience is truly one-of-a-kind with our distinct charm, personality and outstanding service. Having launched in 2018 our focus is to now firmly cement the hotel into the Edinburgh luxury hotel market.”

Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel is the second UK opening for the brand following the successful opening of Kimpton Fitzroy London in October 2018.
