The Kings Arms Hotel in Hampton Court will relaunch this August with Michelin star chef Mark Kempson at the helm of the restaurant.
The Grade-II listed, 14-bedroom hotel is to be reopened by TY Danjuma Family Office, a privately owned company that manages the assets of Nigerian businessman Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma.
The property has been completely redesigned with the bedrooms, bar and public spaces brought back to life with new fabrics, colour schemes and furnishings utilising the work of local suppliers such as Jenny Betts and British manufacturer Angel & Boho.
The Six Restaurant will feature a menu designed by Mark Kempson and will be headed up by head chef Jack Scoines, championing local British cuisine with a twist.
Kempson’s career has spanned more than 20 years, with stints at two Michelin star The Vineyard in Berkshire before he went on to head up his own restaurant Kitchen W8 where he secured his own star.
Scoines boasts experience at the 3 AA Rosette restaurant at The Randolph Hotel in Oxford.
