Klaus Kabelitz has been appointed general manager of The Biltmore Mayfair.
He left his previous role as general manager at Belmond Cadogan Hotel in December.
The Biltmore Mayfair is operated by Hilton and its luxury division LXR Hotels & Resorts. It reopened after a complete renovation in September 2019 after a project that cost an estimated £50m.
The hotel is also home to restaurant headed up by Jason Atherton.
Commencing his career in 1979 with Hilton, Kabelitz then spent seven years honing his skills with Four Seasons in London and Berlin.
He went on to hold key leadership positions in London hotels such as Claridge’s and The Berkeley, where he served as general manager from 2003 to 2012.
Kabelitz said: “I am excited to be joining what I believe is fast becoming an iconic landmark in Mayfair. Its location on Grosvenor Square is unrivalled, and with Jason Atherton heading up all dining concepts, it offers a truly exceptional experience for guests. I have enjoyed observing the journey of the hotel from afar, from its refurbishment through to opening in 2019, and am thrilled to join the spirited and passionate team at this pivotal time.”
