Lace Market Hotel looks for new senior operations team


The new owners of the Lace Market Hotel in Nottingham have begun the hunt for a senior operations team to manage the relaunch of the hotel in the Autumn.

Details of the positions of General Manager, Head of Housekeeping and Reservationist have just been confirmed and applicants are invited to apply from today.

The hotel, which was closed and placed into administration in May, has been bought back by the team which first opened the listed Georgian building as a boutique hotel in 1995.

Now, with refurbishment under way and with plans to open this Autumn, the owners are turning their attention to the appointment of a senior operations team to relaunch the hotel and establish its reputation as a stylish urban sanctuary with an unrivalled customer experience.

“The roles of General Manager, Head of Housekeeping and Reservationist are vital to the successful relaunch of the hotel” explains Project Manager, Sue Jaques.

“Our General Manager will be custodian of our reputation and ambassador for the Lace Market Hotel brand.

"We are looking for an individual with over five years’ experience in a prestigious hotel environment or high quality boutique hotel and passionate about the guest experience.

“Our Head of Housekeeping will already have a minimum of three years in a similar role, again operating in a 5-star environment, with proven passion for the role, eager to instil the ethos of the hotel and the drive for perfection expected from the housekeeping team.

“The Reservationist will be able to demonstrate a commercial aptitude and incredible interpersonal skills and thrive on the fast paced environment created by the multi- layered national and international booking rates market."
