The Laura Ashley Belsfield Hotel in the Lake District has recorded its ‘most successful year yet’ after seeing a rise in winter weddings bookings by 75%.
The luxury hotel, which opened under the retail brand in 2014, welcomed over 16,000 guests in 2017 and has seen a steady increase in wedding sales over the last two years at the venue , which is situated on the cusp of the Lakes in Windermere.
Winter weddings bookings are up 75% in the last 12 months, with 2018 expected to be another busy year.
Mario Malcharek, general manager, said that the forward booking projections for 2018 also look promising, with commitment from both domestic and international visitors.
He said: “”2017 was an extremely strong year for The Belsfield and significantly we have seen an increase in wedding bookings over the last two years. We hope a combination of the Lake District’s World Heritage inscription, the weaker pound encouraging staycations and our strong, popular Laura Ashley brand will continue to attract visitors to the hotel and to the region.”
The Laura Ashley Belsfield Hotel is home 62 bedrooms, all kitted out with Laura Ashley décor, and an AA Rosette restaurant, The Belsfield.
