Lincolnshire hotel secures new owner ahead of makeover

A hotel in Lincolnshire has been sold to new owners after a sale was agreed through Colliers International for around the asking price of £550,000.

The Beaumont Hotel in Louth, Lincolnshire is home to 16 bedrooms, a restaurant, lounge, bar and function room, and has been purchased by Paul and Elizabeth Markham, who will relocate from Peterborough to run the business.

The new owners now plan to carry out a general refurbishment throughout the building, as well as bringing the restaurant and function room back into use.

On the sale, Peter Bean, director in Colliers International’s Leeds hotels team, said: “The former owners ran the hotel with a simple B&B format of late and the ready-made restaurant and function room means there’s scope to build on the already strong trading levels. Being well located within the lovely market town of Louth, The Beaumont has the potential to draw on non-resident function and restaurant trade, including pre-theatre dining, meetings and family parties.”
