Llangoed Hall, located in the Brecon Beacons, has appointed Sam Bowser as its new head chef, following the departure of Nick Brodie.
Bowser joins from his position as head chef at Dormy House on the Farncombe Estate, where he has been for the last two and a half years.
He replaces Brodie, who had been at Llangoed for six years and left to join The Felin Fach Griffin earlier this month.
Having been in the industry for 18 years, Bowser boasts experience at the likes of Whatley Manor, The Square and Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons.
As part of his role at Dormy House, he most recently launched new restaurant concept, MO.
Bowser said: “I’m really looking forward to starting my new role at Llangoed Hall. I can’t wait to get stuck in and put my own stamp on the offering. The opportunity to work at this award-winning restaurant in a stunning location is one I couldn’t pass up to showcase modern British food that I’m passionate about.”
Sergio Martinez, general manager of Llangoed Hall Hotel said: “We’re so excited to be welcoming Sam to the team this month. We know that he will work hard to create something truly unique that will really put us on the map and encourage diners from near and far.”
The new menu devised by Bowser will be available from the 18 January 2020.
