London EDITION restaurant ranks top for portfolio revenue


Berners Tavern at London EDITION, a Marriott and Ian Schrager boutique hotel, has become the highest grossing restaurant within the entire Marriot International portfolio.

The popular restaurant beat eateries at over 4,000 hotels worldwide trading as various brands under the Marriott umbrella, bringing in the most revenue for the global organisation.

EDITION Hotels as a whole fared well in the results, with three of the brand’s restaurants coming within the top six.

Coming behind Berners Tavern at the London EDITION, The Matador Room at Miami Beach EDITION was named the highest grossing restaurant in North America, while Clocktower at The New York EDITION, which opened less than a year ago, is in close pursuit and on its way to breaking industry records.

Berners Tavern is run by acclaimed Michelin-starred head chef Jason Atherton and scooped GQ’s Best Restaurant Interior Award in 2015 as well as the AA Restaurant of the Year in 2014.

The EDITION brand is stepping up its rapid expansion plans this year, with a total of 11 properties due to open within the next three years in key locations such as Bangkok, Barcelona and Dubai.
