‘Long overdue’ refurbishment starts at Rochdale hotel

Royal Toby

Deckers Hospitality Group is to invest £750k into an interior transformation at its hotel in Rochdale, that is ‘long overdue’.

A project to refurbish the 53 bedrooms at The Royal Toby Hotel starts this month and will see a new look unveiled in November 2020.

Interior design company Tinsley Wood will be overseeing the work, having already carried out a renovation at the hotel’s function venue in 2019 and its bar and restaurant in 2017.

Robert Walker, Retail Director at Deckers said: “The refurbishment of the hotel is long overdue and by far one of the biggest projects we have planned for the site. We are very proud to have The Royal Toby Hotel in the Deckers portfolio and invest the time and money into making it the number one place to stay, dine and celebrate in the Rochdale area.”

Clare Poole, deputy general manager at The Royal Toby said: “This has been an exciting project that myself and colleagues have had the pleasure to get involved with. I’m very pleased with the proposed designs that the design team have come up with. The refurbishment helps to secure the future of the hotel by allowing us to showcase the beauty that we have to offer to return and future guests.”
