Lucknam Park opens The Hideaway to target the family market

Lucknam Park Hotel has opened its new offering targeted towards the family market, The Hideaway.

The new addition is a cottage conversion just a short walk from the main house, and will feature an ‘imaginative playroom’, a role-play room, baby playroom and a quiet-time conservatory.

The Hideaway has been designed to cater for parents enjoying time away with their children and adds to the existing range of family activities at the hotel, such as football, horse riding, tennis, cycling and cookery lessons.

The cottage is offered free of charge to hotel guests and will be open all year round.

The ground floor is suited to babies and children under 7, with the room full of arts, crafts and music, plus a messy play area with an interactive water wall.

The role-play room features a mini playhouse, shop and dressing up costumes, while the baby playrooms has sensory light tubes, a tactile nature wall plus plenty of soft toys.

The conservatory is a quiet haven for story time, board games and jigsaws.

The first floor for children aged over 7 includes a games room with table tennis, table football, plus a techno space with a large variety of games and experiences.

Claire Randall, managing director, Lucknam Park, says: “We are really excited to introduce The Hideaway, in collaboration with Worldwide Kids, to offer an extra dimension for families staying at the hotel to spend quality time together, especially during quiet times in the pool area and in wet weather.”
