A hotel situated on the riverside on Henley-on-Thames is looking for a new owner, bringing to market a lucrative business opportunity in the picturesque town.
The Red Lion Hotel is a Grade-II listed hotel on the banks of the River Thames in the centre of Henley, comprising 35 bedrooms and a restaurant and a bar.
The hotel is up for sale with an asking price of £7.5m and is currently owned by MG Hotels Group which also runs the Manor Hotel in Datchet.
As well as conference and events facilities for up to 200 guests, The Red Lion Hotel also has the potential to increase its bedroom count to 56, subject to consent.
Planning permission has already been granted to add a further four bedrooms and an additional three bedrooms as part of a conversion of staff accommodation.
The hotel was closed in March following government advice surrounding Covid-19, and is currently housing 12 homeless people during the pandemic.
