Boutique hotel brand Malmaison has celebrated the launch of its Brighton hotel with a glittering party held last night.
The boutique hotel, located in the Brighton Marina district, invited the city’s movers and shakers to join in the celebration, after unveiling its transformation from the former Hotel Seattle in March this year.
The multi-million pound project led to the arrival of the debut Malmaison in Brighton, and saw the bedrooms refurbished and the brand’s famous Chez Mal bar and brasserie concept introduced.
Last night, the spaces came to life as local faces and famous names mingled and enjoyed a vibrant mix of the brand’s signature cocktails, bubbles and eclectic craft beers, as well as platters of seafood, and a vast selection of BBQ food, overlooking the harbour.
Live performances from acoustic brand Riptide, DJ John Jones and the renowned DJ Dev from BBC Radio One kept guests on their feet, dancing the night away.
David Eiffert, general manager at Malmaison Brighton, said, “Last night’s party was a fantastic way to officially introduce Malmaison to Brighton. It was brilliant to have so many people there, and to be able to show just how much the hotel has to offer. We’re hugely excited for what’s to come, and can’t wait to welcome more of you to the hotel.”
The Brighton property was taken over in December 2015 as one of four hotels acquired by owners Frasers Hospitality.
Malmaison Exeter is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment and will be the next to open its doors.
