Mar Hall in Glasgow has announced a number of appointments to its F&B team, as the property’s multi-million pound redevelopment continues.
Vicky Black joins the resort as director of food and beverage, with extensive experience of managing high-end hospitality operations. In her new role, Black will oversee all food and beverage services across the resort, including leisure dining, conferences, and events.
Hungarian-born Szilard Szentesi (pictured) joins the team as executive pastry chef, having previously held roles at prestigious establishments such as Glenagles and Cameron House. Chef Szentesi will transform the pudding menu and afternoon tea offering at Mar Hall.
Alongside Szilard, Jessica McKechnie joins the resort as pastry chef de partie. She has worked with Szilard for three years and previously won ‘Dessert Chef of The Year’ at the Master Chefs of Great Britain Awards.
Chris Mullen has been appointed head mixologist, and will bring theatre-style cocktail experiences to the hotel.

Early next year, Mar Hall will unveil a number of projects, including a new arrival and reception area, reimagined bar and restaurant spaces, and redesigned rooms and suites.
The resort also plans to introduce 30 new woodland lodges, adding 48 bedrooms to the resort’s total room count, while a brand-new spa will come complete with a ‘stunning’ spa garden and an outdoor pool.
