It’s not often that a disappointing visit to a hotel prompts a guest to buy the property in the belief they can do a better job. But that’s exactly what Sanjay Narang did, following a trip to the Highlands in 2018.
After the £3m acquisition of three hotels, Sanjay invested a further £9m in a phased refurbishment across Letterfinlay Lodge, The Cluanie Inn and Rokeby Manor before reopening the businesses under the Black Sheep Hotels umbrella. Sanjay, who works together with his sister Rachna, are determined to bring a new style of hospitality to the Highlands.
Black Sheep Hotels is under the ownership of Mumbai-based hospitality company, Mars Enterprise and Hospitality, a company with a strong legacy.
Established in 1991, Mars Enterprises and Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. has reflected the passionate and innovative spirit of its entrepreneurial promoter siblings, Sanjay and Rachna Narang. Sanjay’s ability to transform his unique vision into reality combined with the intuitive and individual design sense of his sister Rachna, is the ethos of all the Mars Group ventures.
I am not sure if you are aware but unfortunately Mars Black Sheep has now filed for administration/insolvency after failing to pay Douglas & Stewart £3,1m for the building works that they carried out restoring some of these assets.
