Market Street hotel in Edinburgh has opened its doors today after a multi-million pound transformation project.
The new 98-bedroom hotel set across seven storeys, is part of the Carlton Hotel Collection and is the first member of the Design Hotels brand in Scotland.
The 7th floor is home to the reception area with a lobby, while the hotel also comprises the rooftop Champagne lounge, Nor’ Loft. The space will serve breakfast, afternoon tea and small plates and become a ‘vibrant social hub’ in the evenings.
The new property has been styled by studio FG Stijil and pays homage to the capital’s character, with white oak shutters and textured stone walls, combined with traditional tartans and heritage fabrics.
Room amenities include Dyson hairdryers, GHD hairdryers and Apple TVs.
General manager Jill Darling said: “It’s extremely exciting to be working in a hotel property that brings a new level of understated luxury, bold design and edge to the market. Not only is the hotel situated in an unbeatable location, but the interiors are truly unique.
“We’re thrilled to open our doors and welcome locals and visitors alike.”
