Whether you are looking to bring a touch of spring to your curtains, cushions, bed runners or bedspreads, Price shows you the best colours, prints and textures to use to bring the space to life.

Choose a wow effect

Be on trend and choose this season’s bold designs and colours. Don’t be afraid to embrace glorious geometrics with splashes of lime and grey, loud animal prints and glamorous metallic undertones. Be inspired by the new ranges of crushed velvets, tartans and printed linens. These can help give your room the wow factor and also leave your guests feeling that their stay with you has been so unique that they will want to return again.

Experiment with different tones

Colour is a simple way to instantly transform your bedrooms. Choose from opulent rich colours such as aubergine, navy, purple and walnut or stunningly striking shades of magenta, scarlet and lilac to give impact to a room. Earthy colours such as slate, chocolate, lime and taupe are softer on the eye and give a room a more subtle, muted tone.  Increasingly popular for this spring and summer are vintage tonal colours such as dusky pink, soft gold and chalk blue which add a delicate touch to a room.

Bring the outside in

This was a big trend in 2016 and it’s going to carry on being popular throughout this year. It’s a lovely style which works very well for guestrooms because it instinctively evokes a sense of calmness and tranquility – just what you want to feel when you’re staying away from home.

Use stylish bird and floral prints

This is another striking trend which is growing in popularity this year. Floral prints and bird prints can be mixed-and-matched for a traditional look with a contemporary twist. Try them on runners, cushions and blackout lined curtains to create a gorgeous setting. We particularly like them in this season’s slate, pistachio, claret and petrol colours.

Think denim

Dulux recently announced that their colour for this year is the extremely versatile and sophisticated ‘Denim Drift’. Blue is proving to be very popular and we’re seeing it having a big influence on interiors already, whether that’s denim blue, deep mystical blues or subtle pastel shades of blue.

Plan your refurbishment carefully

Today’s customers have very high expectations so it is important to ensure the room they will be occupying is everything they have dreamed of. It is essential to invest in quality products and to seek professional advice from soft furnishing experts to ensure each room is stylish and comfortable. When choosing fabrics, think about pattern repeats and try to visualise how these would look in the room. Add glamour to a room through colour, different textures and prints. Always provide blackout curtains as standard to ensure your guests have a good night’s sleep without being disturbed by outside light.

Make the most of your budget

If budgets are tight, you can still create an exciting space for your guests. One top tip is to think about the sizes of your cushions and runners in order to best utilise the width of the fabric.
