Mayfair hotel blossoms with opening of on-site floral boutique

Brown’s Hotel on Dover Street, Mayfair, has announced the opening of Ellie Hartley Flowers, a standalone floral boutique within the hotel – the first florist on the street.

Ellie Hartley was appointed florist for Brown’s Hotel, a Rocco Forte Hotel, in 2010 and for the past six years has been responsible for the floral displays throughout the hotel, whilst also winning contracts with other leading Mayfair businesses.

Hartley’s grandfather was a flower seller on Portobello Road and she started her career working for the family floristry business in Notting Hill at the age of 16. She then went on to work for renowned florist, Moyses Stevens on Sloane Street for three years.

The architecture of the boutique is a continuation of the decor seen throughout Brown’s Hotel.  With its entrance on Dover Street, the business hopes this new addition to the Mayfair neighbourhood will become a popular local retailer.
