MD at tableware leader Artis to retire after 55 years in the industry

Leading supplier of tableware, glassware and bar products to the hospitality and foodservice industry Artis has announced the appointment of a new managing director, as current MD and family founder John Artis retires.

Ralph Grundy has joined to drive the business forward and promises an ‘exciting future’, as John Artis retires following 55 years in the industry.

News has also emerged that sales director Ian Jelley is to depart Artis as well.

New MD Grundy boasts experience at the likes of Churchill and Brakes and is keen to use his experience to develop the Artis brand.

Speaking about his appointment, he said, “I am thrilled to join Artis at such an exciting time working with the holding company, BHS Tabletop AG, the World’s largest manufacturer of hospitality porcelain. I have inherited a dynamic and committed team along with a fabulous and exclusive portfolio of products. Together we are really looking forward to taking the business to the next level.”
