Mitre Linen has praised the incredible dedication of housekeepers working in hospitality following the company’s fifth year of sponsoring the Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards 2018.
The company, which supplies bed linen, bedding towelling and more to the hospitality, education and healthcare sectors, supported the Housekeeping Manager of the Year category at this year’s annual awards, which saw Jane Steel from Luton Hoo hotel come away victorious.
Following five years of successful sponsorship of the event, which is held in October on the first night of the Independent Hotel Show, Mitre Linen has commended the efforts of housekeepers working across the country, after describing the awards ceremony as the ‘place to be’ for influential staff in the sector.
Speaking to Boutique Hotelier, Kate Gough, Mitre Linen general manager, says: “The Boutique Hotelier Personal Service Star Awards are the perfect alliance with Mitre Linen. We have been a sponsor since the awards launched five years ago, during which time they have gained incredible respect within the industry. Year on year the standard of entries surpasses our expectations and the awards evening is the place to be for those who are influential and leading the way in the hospitality industry.”
The Boutique hotelier Personal Service Star Awards recognise staff in 11 categories, from Restaurant Manager to Housekeeping and General Manager, and following a nomination process, winners are selected by an expert panel and revealed at the event.
Keith Porter, Mitre Linen, national sales manager adds: “The competition to win one of these coveted awards intensifies each year and the calibre of entries is just outstanding. I am always absolutely delighted to present the award to the winner of the Housekeeping Manager of the Year and to discover what challenges and drives them to be the best in their field.”
