‘Most significant Cotswolds hotel opportunity for a generation’ comes to market for £6m

Dumbleton Hall

Dumbleton Hall Hotel, a 38-bedroom manor house in the Cotswolds, has been brought to market and is asking for offers over £6m.

The sale is being called the ‘most significant single asset hotel opportunity to become available in the Cotswolds for a generation’ by Peter Brunt, director of hotels agency at Colliers International.

The hotel, set in 16 acres close to Cheltenham, is being marketed by Colliers International on behalf of sellers Post Office Fellowship of Remembrance (POFR).

The house dates from the mid-1880s and alongside the 38 bedrooms also includes a substantial restaurant, grand public areas and well as its extensive grounds.

Brunt commented: “It is not common to find a combination of accessibility and seclusion, but Dumbleton Hall offers both, and adds to that beautiful architecture plus an exquisite setting and therefore it gives the opportunity to create an outstanding hotel of very rare quality.”

Julian Troup, head of Hotels Agency at Colliers, added: “Nationally we are seeing great demand for quality hotel assets like Dumbleton Hall.

“This demand comes not only from UK-based owners and investors but also, and in significant numbers, from overseas buyers – for example, from India, China, South Africa and the USA.”
