Perthshire hotel, Murrayshall House Hotel, has appointed a new general manager as the property ploughs on with its major refurbishment.
The 40-bedroom Scottish hotel has welcomed Nigel Bird to head up the business as it undergoes a renovation that is seeing its lounges and bridal suite transformed as well as the introduction of a new restaurant.
Bird joins from his position as general manager at the five-star Ackergill Tower, where he has been for a year. Prior to this, he spent two years managing the four-star Lodge on Loch Lomond.
He said: “I am delighted to have been bestowed the privilege of managing this fabulous property and golf courses and to taking it to its next stage of development.”
Now as part of his new role he will focus on improving the hotel’s services and standards in a bid to establish Murrayshall as one of Scotland’s top wedding venues.
The hotel will be soon welcoming guests into its new more relaxed dining space, Lynedoch Brasserie, once the renovation is complete.
