New £2.3m luxury hot tub suites bring business boost to Lakes boutique

A hotel in the Lake District is enjoying a boost to business after installing seven new luxury hot tub suites at a cost of £2.3m.

Applegarth Villa Hotel and Restaurant in Windermere unveiled the new suites just six months ago and owner Suzanne Mumford has already seen a number of repeat bookings and a business increase of 50% each month since January.

Situated next door to the 15-bedroom boutique, the suites come in three different types – AV Suites, Garden Suites and one Duplex – all with views of the Lakeland fells.

Each one has been designed by local interior designer Val Dunn, who has complimented the fixture and fittings of the suites with top technology gadgets including fast broadband and mood lightings, as well as the jewel in the crown, a private hot tub, located on a balcony or terrace.

Suzanne Mumford says: “We are absolutely delighted with the new luxury suites and the fantastic response we are receiving from both our regular guests who stay with us in the hotel and have treated themselves to a night or two in a suite as well as the brand new customers who we are welcoming to Applegarth for the first time.”
