Matfen Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa has invested £200,000 in an extensive refurbishment of its gym facilities.
Part of the Aqua Vitae health club at the Northumberland hotel, the gym has undergone a complete refit.
The new look gym features a larger free weights and training area as well as distinctive and inspiring new decor and lighting design.
In addition to the makeover, the ambitious upgrade of the facilities has also included a lock stock replacement of the gym’s equipment.
Technogym’s latest cardio, resistance and functional training equipment from its Skills and Excite ranges has been installed, powered by the international brand’s MyWellness software.
Aqua Vitae manager, Carole Crowe, said: “Our plans to transform the gym have been in the making for a while, and everyone is delighted with the results.
“We are also thrilled to be continuing our partnership with Technogym, a brand synonymous with high quality and a global ambition to promote and facilitate wellness.”
Bernard Bloodworth, Matfen Hall Hotel’s general manager, added: “This major investment in our leisure facilities demonstrates our commitment to keeping Matfen Hall at the forefront of the region’s luxury health and wellbeing facilities.”
Matfen Hall is a four-star hotel, home to 53 bedrooms and set in 300 acres of parkland. The property has been a hotel since 199 and is the ancestral home of Sir Hugh and Lady Blackett.
