New destination spa opens in Plymouth

Luxury wellness retreat, Gaia Spa, opened its doors at Boringdon Hall in Plymouth in August. With an 1,800 square metre footprint, the new health facility offers an extensive range of holistic therapies, treatments and rituals, and will employ 30 skilled therapists trained to Gaia and ESPA standards.

“After five years in the planning, designing and launching stage, to finally see Gaia Spa open here at Boringdon Hall is a landmark moment for all of us,” says spa director, Diane Nettleton. “Our brand philosophy is ‘your wellness, naturally’, and we look forward to offering a place of sanctuary and relaxation to everyone who walks through our doors.”

The spa’s design takes inspiration from nature, favouring natural materials such as wood, stone and glass in order to bring the outdoors inside. Facilities include a state-of-the-art gym, treatment rooms, an infinity pool, steam room and sauna. It also features a restaurant and outdoor areas for relaxation, yoga and meditation.
