The Cadogan, a Belmond Hotel, has appointed Chris Hill as its new executive chef.
In his new role Hill will oversee operations at Adam Handling Chelsea restaurant and bar, Cadogan’s by Adam Handling and the hotel’s private and in-room dining.
With a CV spanning 18 years of experience within the industry, Hill has worked in some of the UK’s top hotels.
Having achieved the Master of Culinary Arts Award and being named amongst the UK’s national selection for the Bocuse d’Or in 2017, Hill went on to spend five years at Whatley Manor, where he worked his way up to sous chef. During this time the hotel was awarded two Michelin stars.
Following this he joined The Ritz and worked as premier sous chef for two years.
Prior to joining The Cadogan, Hill also worked at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and Christian Jürgens 3 Michelin Star restaurant in Germany.
Hill says: “I’m thrilled to be joining the exceptionally talented team at The Cadogan, and it couldn’t be at a better time, as we reopen the hotel this week. I’m looking forward to leading the team at Adam Handling Chelsea and ensuring all guests enjoy a luxury gourmet experience across all areas of the hotel.”
The 54-bedroom hotel opened in February 2019, after a £28m renovation and is Belmond’s first London outpost.
