A new head chef has been appointed to head up the spa kitchen at Ragdale Hall.
Martin Carter has joined the Leicester hotel from his role working in Europe as executive head chef for Viking Cruises.
He will now lead a 25-strong team to deliver F&B across the hotel’s spa operation, overseeing breakfast, lunch and dinner services throughout the year.
Prior to his role with Viking Cruises, Carter worked with resorts and hotel groups in the Caribbean and destinations around the world.
On joining Ragdale Hall he said: “I have a great foundation from which to start and moving forward plan to build on the offering for guests by introducing new flavours, trends and creative techniques, and developing the team within.”
Ragdale Hall Spa is a privately-owned business, currently run by Michael Isaacs and Penny Nesbitt.
The business focuses on targeting the spa, fitness and wellness customer, with five pools and 11 heat facilities, a thermal spa, mind gym, and beauty salon.
