New Kent-based Italian restaurant opens boutique bedrooms

Amano, a new Italian eatery in West Malling, has opened the doors on its restaurant and boutique hotel rooms.

In a refurbished Grade-II listed building, locals Nick Levantis and Darryl Healy are behind the venture that has brought a new neighbourhood restaurant to the area.

Specialising in authentic Italian food, the restaurant will also be home to four boutique bedrooms, sitting above the eatery.

Retaining as many of the original features as possible from the surrounding building, the rooms are named after Italian actresses and singers, Francesca, Isabella, Carla and Sophia.

Nick Levantis and Darry Healy saw a gap in the Kent-based market town for an Italian restaurant and believe the addition of accommodation will add to its attraction.

Levantis said: “West Malling is a vibrant and bustling market town with plenty of places to eat, but one thing that’s missing is a good Italian restaurant. Amano brings a new flavour to the neighbourhood a friendly, local eatery, with boutique rooms for those visiting us from elsewhere.”
