New owners invest £3m into Bolton boutique to fuel refurbishment

A hotel in Bolton has been transformed following a £3m refurbishment programme headed up by the property’s new owners.

The Last Drop Village Hotel and Spa, in Bolton, has seen its bedrooms, public spaces and outside bar upgraded, as owners The Emerson Group look to make their mark.

The 131-bed property was acquired by the group in December 2015.

The entrance to the reception lobby was upgraded with an accessible walkway through to the Courtyard Bar, Courtyard Restaurant and Courtyard Bedrooms also created.

A new purpose built raised bar decking area has introduced extra seating for the Courtyard Bar.

All 131 bedrooms and bathrooms were also given a completely new look.

Allan Davidson, director, Hospitality Asset Management at Colliers International commented: “The investment that The Emerson Group has put into this hotel should impact their long-term commitment to making the Last Drop Village Hotel and Spa one of the premier hotels in the region which offers excellent value for its customers.”

Gerry Mcgee, general manager at the Last Drop Village Hotel and Spa added: “The hotel will be more appealing with updated facilities for all guests including a restored extensive banqueting and conference suite to suit all business requirements. The Village Spa has also seen new developments with the addition of new gym equipment and upgraded changing rooms.”
