He began his career as head waiter and sommelier in his native country, France and then came to the UK in 2000 to work at Chewton Glen – where he met his wife Emma.

As part of his new role, Roulier has already implemented a pre-order meal service for families that do not want to wait for their food in the restaurant as well as an all-day menu which can be ordered as room service, in the restaurant or in one of the lounges.

He says: “A stay at New Park Manor should be all about spending luxury time with your family. We offer all the facilities that give families the opportunity to build memories, for couples to enjoy some quality time together and for everyone to enjoy a stress-free holiday. There are lots of exciting plans for the hotel and I am very much looking forward to implementing them.”

New Park Manor is a 17th century hunting lodge in the New Forest reputed to be King Charles II’s favourite. The hotel is home to 25 bedrooms, and an Elemis spa.

The hotel offers a complimentary baby video-monitoring service, two hours free each day in the Ofsted-registered creche, toy boxes, games, wellies and bikes for the family (charges apply for bike hire).

Facilities also include a cinema room as well as an indoor and outdoor pool.

Luxury Family Hotels portfolio includes The Ickworth, Fowey Hall, Polurrian Bay, Woolley Grange, New Park Manor and Moonfleet Manor.
