The Cavendish London has appointed Roberto De Vivo as food and beverage manager.

The luxury boutique hotel, managed by The Ascott Limited, has welcomed De Vivo from his role at the neighbouring Dukes Hotel in Mayfair, where he was responsible for managing the business development of the hotel’s three AA Rosette fine dining restaurant Thirty Six, alongside the hotel’s afternoon tea, room service and meeting and events offering.

Prior to this he gained experience working at Starwood as director of food and beverage at Le Meridien RA Beach Hotel and Spa in Spain, plus stints at the likes of One Aldwych and Metropolitan Hotel.

In his new position, he will now oversee the F&B strategy for The Cavendish’s two AA Rosette restaurant, Petrichor.

De Vivo says: “I am very proud to be joining The Cavendish as it is such an historic London institution. It has an established reputation for quality, and Petrichor’s two AA Rosettes for culinary excellence attest to that. I am excited to work with the F&B team to develop our offering into a polished and recognisable brand, highlighting the beauty of our seasonal menus and the excellent standard of customer care and service offered here at Petrichor.”

Rebecca Hollants Van Loocke, regional general manager UK, Germany, Georgia, The Ascott Limited, comments: “The Cavendish takes pride in its exceptionally high standards of quality service and culinary excellence, and Petrichor restaurant is central to this. We’re thrilled to have Roberto join our team, and we look forward to working with him alongside head chef Nitwin Padwal and our creative team to develop and refine the restaurant’s offering.”
