New wellbeing manager role created at Rockliffe Hall to capitalise on wellness boom

Rockliffe Hall in Darlington has created the role of wellbeing manager at the resort to drive a new framework of wellness initiatives for staff, guests and locals.

Peter Bell has worked at the North East resort for the last 11 years as fitness coordinator and fitness manager and will now develop and promote a series of new retreat packages designed to capitalise on the demand for wellness.

Bell has created a handful of three-day retreats, launching September, with the aim to achieve ‘a sense of contentment, invigoration and relief from stress’.

Each include four hours of time in the spa, a two-course lunch in new restaurant Nu Sana, use of robe and slippers, alongside focus around a specific wellness area such as Nordic Walking or meditation.

Each retreat day is priced at £90pp.

Opened in November 2009, Rockliffe Hallis five-star resort within 375 acres of grounds and comprises a spa and outdoor spa garden, 18-hole championship golf course, multiple restaurants including The Orangery.

The hotel is headed up by managing director Jason Adams.
