NH Hotel Group will open its first property in London on January 2, 2020.
Situated on City Road, in Shoreditch, the hotel will be spread over eight floors and comprise 190 bedrooms and a restaurant ‘conceptualised as a reinvention of the British pub’.
The design is being carried out by London-based Project Orange, who is working to create a ‘punk meets high tech’ style, complete with a Big Ben rocket sculpture in the lobby, tables featuring cockney rhyming slang and oversized gold bell lights, a reminder of the city’s famous church bells.
Alongside the bedrooms, there is also a restaurant bar, gym and three meeting rooms called Laboratories.
NH Group currently operates more than 350 hotels in 28 markets, including Barcelona, Milan and Berlin, with over 18,000 employees.
