The Pig is donating 190 overnight stays to NHS workers when the group reopens its hotels after the Covid-19 pandemic.
As part of a new initiative #treatournhs, when the six hotels, from Bath to Winchester and Canterbury and Devon, welcome guests again, NHS staff from within a 25-mile radius of each property will be the first to step back through the doors and enjoy a slice of ‘Piggy’ hospitality.
The Pig in Cornwall, which will be the seventh to launch from the group, is set to open in June and these NHS employees will become the first guests to stay at the new property.
Each stay will be inclusive of dinner, bed and breakfast and there will be a nominations page going live soon on thepighotel.com.
Robin Hutson, chairman of The Pig Hotels says: “I think it’s true for most people in this country that in the past we have perhaps taken our NHS and Care workers for granted…not so now! This initiative, to use our hotels to give some of them a treat when eventually we can re-open is really the least we can do. In Cornwall the NHS will be the first guests ever to stay at THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay, where the much anticipated opening has been delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.”
#treatournhs is a new campaign initiated by Sarah White.
