The Lancaster hires Group Director of HR as it plans to grow team to 1,000 employees

The Lancaster Landmark Hotel Company has announced the appointment of Nicola Forshaw as Group Director of HR, as part of the group’s plan to grow the team size from 700 to 1,000 employees by the end of this year.

In her new role, Forshaw – who was previously Director of Human Resources at The Landmark London – will oversee The Landmark London, Royal Lancaster, K West Hotel & Spa and Basil Street Apartments.

She will report into Fergus Stewart, Deputy Managing Director of The Lancaster Landmark Hotel Company.

As Group Director of Human Resources, Forshaw and her team of 14 will deliver on the business’ ongoing mission ‘to reach an outstanding level of quality in people management, engagement and wellbeing.’

Fergus Stewart, Deputy Managing Director of The Lancaster Landmark Hotel Company and General Manager for The Landmark London commented: “This is a bold new change for The Lancaster Landmark Hotel Company. We are unifying our approach to HR across all four of our properties to increase investment in the wellbeing of our people as we expand the size of the team from 700 to 1,000 employees in 2022.

Nicola Forshaw, Group Director of Human Resources of The Lancaster Landmark Hotel Company says, “After nearly 12 years as Director of Human Resources at The Landmark London, where I delivered the hotels’ HR strategy, most recently launching a four day working week for chefs, I’m excited to begin my new role as Group Director across all The Lancaster Landmark Hotel properties.

“The focus of my role will be to continue our mission to reach an outstanding level of quality in people management. By coordinating our approach to Human Resources across all properties we will be able to improve employee engagement and wellbeing by sharing best practice between businesses and create a common company culture for the benefit of all.”
