The new restaurant in Strattons Hotel in Norfolk is to launch next month, in response to ‘market demand’ for more casual, flexible dining experience in the area.
Strattons Hotel will unveil After Five on site on November 11, as current café CoCoes closes, and will offer a menu that is a ‘modern approach’ to veg-led dishes, with ingredients sourced from local suppliers.
The hotel, which was named the 2019 Good Hotel Guide Editor’s Romantic Choice, is owned by Vanessa Scott, who said eating out had changed ‘dramatically’ since the business opened in 1990.
Speaking to Eastern Daily Press, she says: “We will be opening from 5pm offering lighter more flexible dishes responding to market demand. We encourage you to order a few dishes each and share.
“This will give the hotel longer service times offering customers wishing to eat after work, have an early supper, meet up with friends somewhere to go and eat and relax.”
Strattons Hotel comprises 14 bedrooms and suites, with open fires, four-poster beds, freestanding baths, a Moroccan-style tented ceiling, a private decked balcony and cinema screen.
