A boutique hotel in Cumbria is launching a new restaurant that sets it apart from local eateries as part of its bumper refurbishment project.
Penrith’s North Lakes Hotel and Spa has announced it is launching a new restaurant, called FYR, as part of its £3m revamp.
The restaurant, which is opening on 25 May, features an open fire grill in the centre of the dining space where diners will be able to watch the team of chefs create their meal.
All meat dishes on offer at the FYR are aged for a minimum of 28 days and cooked to the diners’ specifications. The grill menu also features a choice of chicken or fish kebabs. Sundays at FYR will be an all-day dining event.
The team at FYR will also run masterclasses in grilling to share their expertise and knowledge.
The interior design strongly draws on inspiration from the Cumbrian countryside and the artwork on display showcases the vistas that the Lake District offers
