North-West-based hospitality entrepreneur, Stephen Hargreaves, has created a new ‘smart home’ boutique villa for guests, off the back of the success of his brand The Cranleigh Boutique in the Lakes.
Named Bon Vivant, the three-bedroom detached villa is situated in Bowness-on-Windermere and is a traditional Lake District stone and slate built property that cost more than £1.2m to create.
With luxury interior features, such as 40-inch televisions, king-size beds, heated floor, and two with air spa baths, there is also a host of technology including in-room iPads to control music and movies, plus a Reako intelligent lighting system used throughout the property.
The villa is also home to a kitchen, a reading room, a dining room for six and lounge area with speakers in the ceiling. The purpose-built cinema room is another luxury addition.
2017 has so far been a great year for Hargreaves, with his opening of Cumbria’s first music bar, Baha, taking place in July. The bar joins Hargreaves other ventures The Fizzy Tarte, The Cranleigh Boutique and Church Suites plus The Hideout in the portfolio.
“Both Baha and Bon Vivant have been a team effort and I couldn’t have achieved either without the superb skillset of managing director, Kay Harrison-Mann and marketing director, Graham Hadaway,” Hargreaves says. “We’re really excited about the opening of Bon Vivant which has taken holiday letting to a completely new level. We have been listening to guest feedback and have created for them, an incredible and luxurious space; a superior experience. It’s completely unique, a ‘first’ in the UK and the ultimate smart villa.”
