The Guild business messaging app has set up an online peer support group (CREO) for anyone planning to hold an event in the next six months.
This will of course be particularly relevant to the hotel sector, with so many events held in hotel meeting and events spaces.
The Coronavirus Response for Event Organisers (CREO) is aimed at event organisers, as well as professional membership associations and specialist experts in PR, communications, crisis management and more.
The group gained more than 100 members in its first 24 hours alone.
It offers the CREO Manual which will be a frequently updated document collating all of the advice, resources and insights from the CREO group.
The document contains official data and guidance, as well as information regarding communications, PR, crisis management, logistics, advice for venues, financial mitigation, insurance, legal and health and safety.
Advice shared on the group could help with problems such as the recent news that hotels were bulk buying hygiene products such as hand soaps, causing a shortage. Read more below:
