Pan Pacific London has announced the appointment of Cherish Finden as executive pastry chef.
The new hotel, which will be situated inside new London landmark, One Bishopsgate Plaza, welcomes Finden from her most recent role as creative development chef at Godiva Chocolatier where she has been since May 2017.
Prior to this she was executive pastry chef at The Langham London for over seven years and also boasts stints at Raffles Hotel Singapore and The Sheraton Tower Singapore.
She also secured her first professional position with Pan Pacific Singapore in 1991.
Currently Finden is appearing as a judge on Channel 4’s Bake Off: The Professionals alongside Benoit Blin who is chef patissier at Belmond Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons.
Finden, who has over 30 years of experience under her belt, will be responsible for creating the pastry collection at Pan Pacific London, including a ‘slice of Singapore’ on the afternoon tea menu.
Cherish Finden says: “I am delighted to be part of the Pan Pacific London team and I look forward to bringing my Singaporean heritage to the pastries that we will create. It will be a celebration of a slice of Singapore in London, a fusion of two of the most vibrant and dynamic cities in the world.”
Pan Pacific London marks Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s first footprint in Europe.
Located in a mixed-use development at One Bishopsgate Plaza, the City’s new landmark tower, the hotel is currently under construction.
Fronted by PLP Architecture and with design by Yabu Pushelberg, the hotel will open in Q4 2020 featuring 237 guestrooms and one-bedroom suites; two restaurants and bars; a wellbeing floor with treatment rooms, sleep pods, a well-equipped gym and fitness area, Café and 18.5m indoor infinity pool; public plaza; two floors of meeting rooms and event spaces as well as the largest ballroom in the square mile.
