Pennyhill Park laps up luxury with new suite The Granary as part of rolling refurb plans

Pennyhill Park, part of Exclusive Hotels and Venues, has launched a new luxury stand-alone, The Granary to add to its offering.

Located adjacent to The Spa, the hexagonal building is set against a private landscaped garden with features such as exposed roof beams, a double height ceiling and a free-standing bath in its master room.

The new suite has been created by Trevillion Interiors and pays homage to the building’s original use as a granary, with warm rustic colours and fabrics.

The master bedroom, located on the first floor, benefits from a bespoke designed lighting scheme, while the open-plan room is home to a free standing copper-lined bath, plus a walk-in dressing area, a desk table, plus seating area.

The ground floor comprises a dining or study area, sofa bed, plus a bathroom with walk-in shower.

A palette of copper and aubergine fabrics, including velvet and tweed, has been used, contrasted by a more muted scheme of dusky pinks and barley shades.

Julian Tomlin, general manager of Pennyhill Park, commented: “We’re delighted to open The Granary for guests. Already the suite has been very popular with advance bookings and is a great addition to our portfolio of rooms. It’s the perfect place for an unforgettable stay, offering a luxurious home-from-home where guests can enjoy some privacy whilst being right at the heart of Pennyhill Park.”

Frances Blackham, design director, at Trevillion, commented: “The Granary has been a fantastic project for us. The building’s interesting heritage and stunning features led us to create a warm and welcoming interior that blends real luxury with the warmth and welcome for which Pennyhill Park is famous.”

The opening of The Granary is the latest milestone in Pennyhill Park’s ongoing programme of upgrades. In the past two years, 18 suites have been refurbished, while the hotel has also opened a screening room for up to 24 guests, created a kitchen garden and developed The Spa’s pool bar and barbecue area.
