Plans lodged to build 70-bed hotel in North East with £3m predicted investment

A new plan has been submitted to create a new hotel and restaurant in the North East.

An application has been lodged to build a 70-bed hotel and a restaurant next to the A90 Invernettie roundabout in Peterhead.

The proposal, from Hermiston Securities part of the Muir Group, is part of the Buchan Gateway scheme, which is expected to include more restaurants, petrol station and shops.

A predicted £3m could be invested in the project if given the green light, and the restaurant would be operated by Marston’s Inns and Taverns.

As part of the wider Buchan Gateway scheme, around 240 full-time jobs are expected to be created with as many as 450 part-time roles.
