Plans have been revealed for a new five-star boutique hotel to be constructed in Devon at a public consultation.
The proposal has been unveiled by Henley Real Estate, who announced plans for a £50m new hotel and residential development on Plymouth Hoe, headed up by father and son duo John and Chris Henley.
If given the go ahead, the hotel would be home to 60 bedrooms, a spa plus a panoramic penthouse with views over the sea.
In December last year, the Henleys said that the entire complex, including the luxury flats, could be completed before the end of 2019.
The development, given the name 1620 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower, will sit on the site of the former Quality Inn.
John Henley said: “We’ve now advanced the design and this is a chance for the public to comment and ask questions and then we’ll take that away for another round of consultations with a view to a planning application being submitted in April.
“Feedback has been positive and we believe to establish a new, modern building is in response to the bid we were invited to look at so we’re very proud of it.”
