The Fish Inn in the Lake District has reduced its asking price to £1.35m as its owners look to move on after 50 years at the helm.
The 10-bedroom inn with views over Buttermere has been owned and operated by Jean and John Richardson since 1968, who are now looking to sale in order to retire.
Alongside its bedrooms, The Fish Inn comprises a breakfast room, lounge and bar and restaurant for 70 guests.
The property is now on the market at a freehold asking price of £1.350m.
Alistair Greenhalgh, director at Christie & Co, is handling the sale and comments: “The reduced asking price makes this a once in a lifetime opportunity even more attractive to potential purchasers.
“Though the business currently trades strongly from both the existing letting bedrooms and the food and beverage trade, an incoming operator will have the opportunity to develop this further as there are currently five staff bedrooms and two owner’s flats which could be converted into additional letting accommodation if required. We expect the business’ revised pricing to be well received by the market.”
