Two brothers are transforming a pub in Somerset into the pair’s first venture into the hospitality industry.

Julian and Oliver Campbell acquired The Swan Inn in Crewkerne and are now carrying out a renovation to convert the Grade-II listed building into a boutique hotel and restaurant.

The brothers, who have experience in the property sector, will open the new venture in May, marking their debut into hospitality.

Speaking to Somerset Live, Julian said: “We work in property and this is our first attempt of running a pub and hotel. We will be bringing in people who know what they are doing when it comes to running the place!”

The building is being completely redecorated with eight new bedrooms, a new look function room and dining area.

The property also comes with planning permission to convert stables on site, which could become two new bedrooms.

The Swan Inn, located on Church Street, dates back to 1700s.
