The ‘rare opportunity’ to acquire a picturesque Lake District hotel has come to market with an asking price of £3.25m.
The Castle Inn Hotel close to the ‘highly sought after location’ Bassenthwaite Lake is being offered for sale with Savills on behalf of a private client.
The property comprises 45 bedrooms, plus three bedrooms which are currently being used by the owners as office space.
The site is also home to The Castle Inn Tavern and Ritson’s Restaurant, plus conference and events facilities.
There is also a leisure club complete with a gym and swimming pool.
Tom Cunningham, director at Savills Manchester, comments: “Opportunities to acquire freehold assets in the Lake District don’t come about very often, so we’re delighted to be bringing The Castle Inn Hotel to market on behalf of our client. Set in an iconic location, with well-presented amenities, we’re expecting strong interest in this property.”
