Renovation at Lancashire’s Barton Grange Hotel pays off as events business grows by 20%

Lancashire’s Barton Grange Hotel’s recent investment into upgrading its bedrooms, public areas and meetings space has paid off, as the property reports a 20% rise in events bookings.

Over the last three years, the hotel has invested £670k into bringing the hotel into the 21st century and this week revealed that the events side of the business has grown by 20%, while average room rates have seen a rise of 10% on last year.

Now the hotel has finalised the refurbishment of eight bedrooms in the adjacent Garden House, plus the renovation of the lounge area and newly-landscaped ‘wedding’ garden.

Barton Grange Hotel is also now planning to expand its leisure offering, with the addition of spa treatment services, and the addition of two new treatment rooms. An exclusive club membership will be available to local people from early 2018.

Commenting on the development programme Daniel Rich, general manager said: “The final stages of the changes are about ensuring that the hotel is very much the ‘go to’ destination for event organisers, wedding couples and leisure visitors to the local area.

“We are continuing to build on our success as the year progresses, with a growth in our events business of 20%, and our accommodation continues to show a strong performance with average room rates up by 10% on last year. These are firm foundations on which to continue to develop the business and I am confident that the investment in further upgrades at the hotel will play a huge part in seeing the Hotel achieve greater success moving forwards.”
