Five-star resort operator Leisure Resorts has opened a new ‘high-end’ hospitality offering, complete with glamping tents and holiday lodges.
Ullswater Heights opened on July 1, set in 70 acres of land, after a £20m investment from Leisure Resorts to create the new site.
The resort has been designed to cater to couples, families, groups and people travelling with dogs, with holiday lodges available for ownership and centrally-heated glamping tents with Jacuzzis.
There is also 150 pitches for the holiday park and an on-site restaurant, farm and playground.
Ullswater Heights, the fourth holiday park for the business, marks a significant step for the company and a whole new level in Leisure Resorts’ offering.
Commenting on the launch, Leisure Resorts managing director Gary Molloy said: “Leisure Resorts has been operating for just over two years and Ullswater Heights represents the pinnacle of our achievements to-date. We’re taking our offering to a new level, aiming to open as the best holiday park in the UK and never stop improving what we offer. We’re delighted to partner with Hoseasons who have over 75 years’ experience offering brilliant holiday lodge getaways. Uptake of holiday homes for ownership has also been a great success so far.”
The safari-inspired glamping tents also come with log burners, an indoor kitchen and are available in one of two story varieties.
The park will also be home to one of the most expensive holiday lodges ever manufactured in the UK, created by Aspire Park & Leisure Homes.
Dubbed The Blencathra, the lodge is one of the first in the UK to feature a Jacuzzi on the roof. It offers 1,430 square feet of space with three bedrooms, four bathrooms and an open plan living room, coming with a guide price of £795k.
