Royal Berkshire Ascot appoints new general manager


Royal Berkshire in Ascot, part of the Exclusive Venue group, has announced the appointment of Andrew Colley as the hotel’s new general manager as of May 2015.

Colley joins the mansion house armed with a wealth of experience from his previous roles as general manager at The Chesterfield Mayfair, Ramada Hyde Park Hotel, Audleys Wood Hotel, and the East Sussex National Hotel, totalling 16 years of hotel and venue management experience.

Speaking of the new appointment, Danny Pecorelli, managing director of Exclusive Hotels and Venues, commented; “Given Andrew’s vast experience in hotel and venue management, passion for hospitality and expertise in the conference, meetings and events sector, he is perfectly placed to lead the venue forward in 2015. Following the recent refurbishments at the venue, this is an exciting time for the Royal Berkshire and we are thrilled to have Andrew at the helm.”

The 18th century property, set in 15 acres of landscaped grounds, has recently undergone a refurbishment, which saw the hotel’s 11 meeting and conference rooms upgraded, and 25 bedrooms given a refresh as well as the establishment’s FORK restaurant benefitting from a makeover.

Colley added “I am honoured to be joining the Exclusive Hotels and Venues family. As someone who lives locally, I have been an admirer of the Royal Berkshire for years and can’t wait to become a part of this magnificent venue”.
