Scottish hotel rooted in its community sold to local couple

A Scottish hotel, said to ‘epitomises the spirit of ‘the local’, has been sold to a couple Living in the community for an undisclosed sum.

The Commercial Hotel in Larbert, Stirlingshire, has been sold by DM Hall to local couple, Mark and Gemma Barnett.

The property is situated on a historic crossroads, where the thoroughfares of Larbert Main Street, the road to Denny and the road to Stirling all meet.

The Commercial Hotel is home to six bedrooms, a public bar, plus a games room and beer garden and is popular with clientele from the surrounding area, building on loyal trade from the local community.

Suzanne Lawrie of DM Hall, who secured the sale, said: “Mark and Gemma are totally committed to making a huge success of the Commercial Hotel and we believe absolutely that they will do so.”
